Hi, I’m Lauren Brooks, a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker practicing under supervision at the Humanistic Wellness Center. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University and hold a certificate in Child Welfare. My approach is warm and collaborative, grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to be heard, supported, and empowered. I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, supporting those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, or life transitions. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and person-centered approaches tailored to each client’s needs. I’m especially passionate about working with children, teens, and families, and have experience with issues like parenting challenges, self-esteem, school concerns, and mood disorders. I strive to create an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ clients and others who may feel misunderstood. With a background in child welfare and diverse populations, I’m committed to honoring each client’s unique story. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I aim to meet people where they are—with authenticity, compassion, and respect. My goal is for clients to feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.
