Kathy has served for the past 17 years at Family Counseling and Shelter Services as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. Prior to that, she directed a Community Outreach Center providing services to persons struggling with poverty, homelessness, hunger or difficult personal issues.
She has a Specialist degree in Psychology from the Center for Humanistic Studies as well as a Masters in Pastoral Ministry and Counseling and a BA in Social Work.
Kathy provides therapy with adults, couples, families and especially children. Her past work in social service and as a therapist has given her an appreciation of different cultures, sexual orientations, religious beliefs and simply the uniqueness of each person.
Kathy utilizes a person center, humanistic, eclectic and experiential approach to therapy. Her primary focus is the needs and desires of each person. She provides therapy for children, adults, families and couples (people of all ages) who may be struggling with:
Kathy’s commitment is to work with clients of any age and to facilitate a trusting and nonjudgmental relationship focused on enabling persons to move toward actualizing their own goals and finding deeper richness in their lives.
