Conrad holds a Master of Arts degree in School and Community Psychology and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in School Psychology from Wayne State University. He is currently licensed through the state of Michigan as a Limited License Psychologist and practices as a school psychologist for Ann Arbor Public Schools. With a background in both clinical and school-based psychology, Conrad has a wide array of knowledge with assessments and therapeutic practices. He specializes in providing comprehensive evaluations for adults and children.
Conrad is also experienced in facilitating group and individual therapy for executive functioning skills, grief and loss, social skills, depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, and self-esteem issues. He believes in a humanistic approach to therapy— or a person-centered practice where clients are given non-judgmental space to explore whatever difficulties they may be experiencing. Conrad often combines this approach with compassionate cognitive - behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and building personally-relevant coping strategies for solving a client’s current problems. ACT utilizes acceptance and
mindfulness-based strategies mixed with commitment and behavior-change strategies to
increase psychological flexibility.
