Lauren holds a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling and a Bachelors in Multidisciplinary Studies from Siena Heights university. She is currently licensed through the state of Michigan as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Her clinical experience includes working with all dynamics of the family structure. She has spent numerous years working with the court system in providing a safe environment for children to rehabilitate relationships with parents with whom they do not reside.
Lauren is experienced working with victims of domestic violence providing empowering and supportive counseling services. She is trained in group facilitation, including anger management, domestic violence support, empowerment groups, teen coping skills and women’s batter intervention programming.
Lauren believes in a non-judgmental, person-centered approach in a counseling relationship which creates a comfortable forum for clients to examine factors that may be causing unhappiness and pain in their lives. She believes in fostering one’s sense of personal power to overcome these factors and work toward reaching one’s full potential. It is her mission to help individuals and families face life’s challenges in a safe and supportive environment – to not only tackle their current situation, but to gain the necessary tools to cope with future problems in a healthy and productive manner.
Lauren has developed a strong passion for working with teens, couples, adult men and women, helping them navigate life and create a strong sense of self.
